The Flower and Breeze
The Flower and Breeze
Pensively wandering, on the wayside,
A flower were there, blooming beside,
Lonely and borne on the solitary stalk,
Banged about; with breeze ‘twill talk!
"Why wert I alone, and so withdrawn",
My love’s singularity, nights thru dawn
The cruel wind ripped, every single leaf,
No one nearby, no one shares my grief.”
“Amidst ragged rocks, I was born alone,
The beauty in singularity, but unknown,
In red hot sun, and the Sun’s strong light
I braved thirst, and held on to life’s fight.”
“Watch me in the purple, standing aloft,
I embraced rigors to my core, never soft,
Wild wind and rain, I have been through,
Writing lines in abstract, to my life’s clue.”
The breeze pondered, and heaved a sigh,
A gaze on the flower, pensively it did eye,
The beauty in ruggedness! Eager to whet
A vista cropped up, boggle sanest to fret.
With ciphered whispers; replied breeze,
"Mine breaths wilt soon, thy heart seize,
Dear! Lend me thy ears, sharp and quick,
Life’s a mystery bared, a deciphered trick.”
“Thou wert forsaken, scoffed the lush green,
Assay thyself against odds and bliss between
Thou excelled in splendor, aye clean and fair,
From the blossoms, there’s none to compare.”
“Thou had marveled high, to merit praise,
To a pristine beauty; thou did thyself raise,
Thru scorching sun, and the freezing cold,
An obelisk so high, with thy ventures bold.”
“An affliction to thyself, I will call it naught,
As of prowess and honor, you are wrought
Dignity bestowed on you; verily so unique,
And in applause thereof; I’ll joyfully speak.”
“You’d ranked high, in integrity and esteem,
Thy pigments pink and purple, must gleam,
’Cause thou stood the rigors, of trying trial,
The unseen throes! No portrayal, no denial.”
“Luck smiled on you, still blooming red,
The décor of lush and bloom, hath fled,
Why do? Compliments escape my tongue
As with the balmy breeze, you art swung.”
“Thou owe obligations whatever; to none!
Who tended thee in gruff? I don’t eye one,
Surely you’ll win; thy labor’s fruit and anon,
Fit thy glittering beaut, alone in the throng”
“Speak or whisper! How didst you learn?
Divulge the secret unto me; pray I yearn,
To the polished splendor, how ye did rise,
First and pure in piety; in the naked guise.”
“An adventure in self, you marveled high,
Unseen highs and lows, in a heaved sigh,
Bloom and gloom, aye both played bare;
Rocked and whirled, in the mesmeric air.”
“To the lazing folk! The lesson thou leave!
Many a virgin heart, may calm and cleave
To ethereal gains; from rots to the purity,
Rising from inebriety, to solemn sobriety”
“The indolent and weary, you put to shame,
Curse to them all, priding in the impish aim,
With thy saintly rapture, and the broad grin,
With thy craft and art, affected faces ye win.”
“Live long and ever O tulip; thou shalt shine,
Our feelings’ silent interflow, shames Alpine,
Will the trodden folk, enliven their lost grace?
With the flamed souls, faded colors and glaze?”
