Ego and Soul

                    Ego and Soul

I know naught, where and who am I?

Whither is that I? I always failed eye,

From somewhere it came and began,

And mysteriously thru my life; it ran!

My ego, the self, my soul and my mind,

Putting all together; yet couldn’t find,

Define the lines of cleavage amid them,

The touchstone, know grit from gem!

Enshrouded within another, truth or lie,

In unison, they play their part very high,

Since inception, the subtle tunes of life!

Evoked from the tangled cords, of strife.

And the answer; if it may seem very nigh,

Flouts itself, ‘cause a blind eye won’t pry,

The immortal sneaking, calm in my frame,

Whither is the “I? Oh this tricking name!

How come? That I were hither brought,

Incarcerated within me; I never sought!

Which one plays to the destiny, its role?

While the other sits yon, where is soul?

Forlorn; I conceive this frame so brittle,

The stage where actors show and fickle,

Bless me! Where lives the driving force?

Cudgel the mortal, thru devious course!

The blessed faculties, insidiously merge,

Collectively in a sparkle, they will surge!

And bounding within; but aspiring high,

The man’s evolution; watched in a sigh!

I attempted futile, reaching out to the I,

Confront blighted vision, in my misty eye,

And again to the infinite, I’m madly lost,

Afflicted with panic, baffled and aghast!

The evolution, ascension or purification,

A chastisement or just the pontification,

A fascination! Ah I fail find the lost ends,

Very mysteriously; when the life blends.

Where my wits die, I behold love’s spark,

Who inspires yonder? The morning lark!

Mystery in her song, ’twill liberally bear,

The clue to my quest! Blared very clear!
