Journey thru Time

               Journey thru Time

My ears had tuned, to the clock’s chime,

My heart had borne, the ravages of time,

My eyes had gazed, unto refulgence afar,

Wits tangled, my muse stood many a scar.

I’d bewailed and heaved sighs, at night,

Restless and fidgety, I’d hunted for light,

Sad morn, flowers wilted and twigs flail,

Some tears fell, ah swept with cruel gale.

My nights eerie, the sky somber and dark,

The moon eclipsed, stars tumble in an arc,

No trees but their shadows, looming large,

Silent tunes from afar, my passions charge.

Better unsaid, ah my repertoire banished,

I was a victim of spite, ah cruelly ravished,

heart, ‘tis the love of slanderous tongue,

Here prowling venom, were amply wrung!

Hate decoyed for love, ‘twas a saber sharp,

Dulcet praises, on fake tunes folks will harp,

No Sun ah no Moon, an emptiness in wood,

And murky sky, rancor did replace my good!
