Blest Manners
A courtesy dropped and a bow made,
Welcome smile, with a phrase prayed,
A few honeyed words, escape the lips,
Shall deliver a person, to adoring grips.
Tone and tenor, with beauty and grace,
Bond hearts in cuddle, that were apace,
A spark in eyes, a loving smack on cheek,
Eye and eye, aye glances meet and seek.
Fountains of love, in the breasts concealed,
Some lack of curtsies, had them off reeled,
The inner glow must light, eyes and the talk,
Delightful and rapturous, stride a life’s walk.
An inner love will exude, expression outside,
Helping hand, above self, in pureness’ guide,
To blessedness of things, only right and pure,
Nay sycophancy and lure, but lively and pure.
“Please and thanks” a couple of words to start,
The little phrases with love, shall build that art,
To irons out roughness, and in politeness share,
Humanity’s ascension, in rounds of loving flare!
