A Reckoning
A Reckoning
Since long my inquisitive eyes pry about,
At the gruesome scenarios I often shout,
Watching a glaring contrast, a rising fire!
Brewing carnage, the flame to blast dire.
The usurpers ask for more and ever more.
From hapless folks, adding insult to a sore,
The hunger-stricken, pale faces, no smiles,
The opulent decree, their wiles and guiles.
The looters have plundered and marveled,
In the cozy beds, have dallied and reveled,
Sadly given to drink, their dance and dope,
Amidst vanities, they’ll blunder and grope!
Under the yoke of tyranny people linger on,
Upheavals born of aversion will smolder on
When the glitter blinds the inside of a man,
An inferno is born, the vengeance must fan!
Their lives of display, the fashion and rustle,
Of fragrance and glamour, and their hustle!
With the limousines, they shall silently glide,
To the gallows, when the poor will turn wild.
Smelt of mildew; a piece of bread to seek,
A hapless child messed up in foul and reek,
Of a wizened face, and the poor lank arms,
He was born to agonies and pitiless harms!
By and by, a day of reckoning must come,
As flaming tongues wert lent to the dumb,
A hell were let loose; came hard on them!
Wreak the vengeance, relentless on them!
The insurgence, an inferno to fume and roar,
The flames, those surpassing hell, must soar,
Devour the usurpers, and the savage beasts!
Their rotten faces, must be vampires’ feasts!
Comrades! Wipe away rulers, the totalitarian,
Swap them with those, the noble egalitarian,
Thy hands on spears and swords, fairly imbue
Armaments with their blood, aye for long due!
