A Lad Advised

                A  Lad Advised

O LadUnmask thine face, in light fair,

Unveil thine eyes, thru obstacles dare,

Never stumble in dark, and go forlorn,

Nay in the arena, with thine heart torn.

Shun the deals, the gain-less and slight,

The flitting glamour for thy soul’s might,

Shun the detour, tread thy course aright,

Amid airs, fancies, seemingly tho bright!

You may have tried arts! Of love and glee,

Fetter thy foot loose and thine fancy free,

Beguiled and ushered, to dark and shame,

The rosy lips, roving eyes, ruins and blame.

May be, a beast is aroused, in breast wild,

Invading thine heart; and the purity chide,

On hideous altar, merciless thy heart bleed,

Fuelling profanity, frivolity, avarice ah greed.

O my lad! I wish thee, honey of work return,

A spark to ignite the flame, O learn and burn,

The same flush, light thy face and ruddy lips,

Challenges do mock, stifle them in thy grips.

the youth of delight! Awake and soon awake,

Disdain and the procrastination, off them shake,

Severe them off, those vagabonds in the street,

The limelight of thy labor, folk flock in to greet!

Dear! Beseech the Lord, days in and days out,

With belief and love, above whims and doubt,

In thoughts, thy actions and address; all along,

Infirmities fuel thy strength, to thy will strong!
