O Fidelity

                                    O Fidelity

True love’s a gone by story, in hearts furtively buried,

What hadst befallen the lovers, in stories ‘tis carried?

The echoes of the failing trust will soon fill the space,

Mirroring the clouded soul, miserably fall from grace.

The sweet music is hushed, the wilderness hums disgust,

The space packed with bliss, pictures a specter of distrust,

promise, a pledge once as virtuous as was a sacred vow,

Reneged upon, phrases slice love to pieces then and now.

No one says the love is mine, everyone keen to dispel care,

No one remembers the love’s right, tho lovers claimed fair;

Where do stand the tidings of union? The question will cry,

Why the treasure house of love’s bare, who will bonds buy?

Love and loyalty fared silky threads, woven in words unsaid,

It frayed as easy as ‘twas knit, the spider’s web falling dead!

The gone by smile, a laughter and runs of lover’s heartbeat,

No one knows the poverty of love; the passions and deceit!

Forget not the loyal lovers; for they loved an abiding love,

Weary and sad, turning to bond again, heaving sighs deep,

Lovers hadst made the lairs ibreastswherein silently lie,

How will the love trust to play the fickle; ah love living high?
