A Baby Born

                        A baby born

O baby! I shall name you the blissful joy,

No name equals you but a heavenly toy,

In your clenched fist, hides future world,

With a goal I know not, you were hurled.

Stars blink in your eyes, the strobe’s beam,

Nature may have planned true, my dream!

Purring and smiling, then innocently awake,

The bliss pours in fast, of your angelic wake.

Your smiles and chuckles, dimples and face,

Styles my heart fonder, to my breast I brace,

Swathed in plush, and cozy, I’ll kiss you soon,

Swinging in my arms, I swing heaven’s boon.

Sweeter than honey, you are my heart’s beat,

You are a sneaking angel to cleanse and treat,

In a single sweep, my qualms lingering so long,

You, a rare pearl, sparkling in a million’s throng.

You have swapped my gloom with moonlit night,

My spirits boom to skies with the sprightly might,

May ye live long and pure in coming days and life,

Clean, above whims or shade in thy glittery strife.
