Aching for Love

                   Aching for Love

My heart aching for the ethereal wine,

Alone in the tavern I moan and whine,

The cup swings around, as angels knock

At tavern’s door, eyeing secrecies unlock.

Inebriate, ah I set my eye at the ruby light,

Red with blended rave, set my soul alight,

Love beamed and beckoned me to the cup,

I gulped to the dregs in an expounding sup.

I tasted the drop of wine and suffered pain,

On the altar of Love I was laid and yet again

Bleeding more and ever, eternal I convulsed,

In the blazing scenario mine soul rehearsed.

Bless me with pain, ecstasy Thy Love brings

Countless praises when the lone lark sings,

My heart wrings as to her virtue were given,

Yet for the love of Thee, I were madly driven

Darkness envelops, the flash of union comes

In the pit of darkness aye my intellect numbs,

Ere than sooner The Beloved whispers close;

The fragrance creeps in, and I behold a Rose.

The Ethereal Beauty smiled with stately gaiety,

My inebriety was swapped with stark sobriety,

In the beauteous gardens where love overflows

Amid vibrant insignia; an inebriating waft blows.
